Millie Fleur's Worst Day Ever Is Actually Her Best From YA Author Christy Mandin

Christy Mandin, MILLIE FLEUR creator and NY Times bestselling children’s book author and illustrator, has some sage advice for getting through a rough day. We don’t have to pretend we’re okay when we’re not. It’s okay to have a rough day. In her newest picture book: MILLIE FLEUR’S WORST DAY EVER, Mandin shows little ones how to deal with those rough days. Garden Glen was buzzing with excitement. It was time for the town's annual Butterbloom Fest! Everyone was ready for the most perfect day of the year. Everyone except Millie Fleur La Fae. Instead of waking up bright-eyed and ready to take in everything the fair has to offer, Millie Fleur wakes up with a bad case of the morgenmuffels. Even worse, there's a humbug tangled in her hair! Millie Fleur's day goes downhill from there. MILLIE FLEUR’S WORST DAY EVER is about accepting help when you need it and knowing that it’s okay not to have all the answers all the time. She discovers that a little help from her friends at just the right time can make all the difference in your outlook on a day. That positive message is also highlighted in Mandin’s fall adventure picture book, MILLIE FLEUR’S PUMPKIN PROBLEM. It’s a fall lover’s dream where too many pumpkins take over Garden Glen. When Millie’s pumpkin patch spirals out of control, she could sit down and cry. Instead, she and her fellow townspeople band together to make the best of a bad situation. MILLIE FLEUR’S PUMPKIN PROBLEM will show the youngest readers that even when it feels like everything is ruined, there’s always a way to find something fun in the mess. Mandin teaches the youngest readers that even when things start bad, they don’t have to end that way and if things aren’t perfect, there’s still joy that can be found in the imperfections.
