All The Way Home From Jeff Woodke Surviving In The Hands Of Al Quida For 7 Years

Jeff Woodke is an American humanitarian aid worker and missionary who spent decades serving vulnerable communities in Niger before he was kidnapped by al-Qaida-linked extremists in 2016. Armed men stormed his home, killed two guards, and abducted him. He would spend the next six-and-a-half years in captivity - chained, isolated, moved through the desert, and left to wonder whether he would ever see his wife, children and grandchildren again. His release in 2023 made national headlines, but now Jeff is telling the full story of what happened in captivity - and what came after. In his forthcoming memoir, All the Way Home: The Incredible True Story of an American Aid Worker's Harrowing Seven Years as an Al-Qaida Hostage, releasing September 15 from Zondervan, Jeff shares the story of his abduction, survival, release and long road home. This is a timely and deeply human story about Americans held abroad, the families who wait for them, and the hidden aftermath of captivity. For Jeff, freedom did not mean the trauma was over. Coming home meant PTSD, physical recovery, reintegration with family, and thedifficult work of rebuilding a life after more than six years of uncertainty and fear.
