The Ladder's Journey: Alaskan Filmmaker's Triumph

The Ladder, a deeply personal film by Emilio Miguel Torres, premieres at the Anchorage International Film Festival. Based on his life, the movie explores themes of aging, family, and technology. Torres, a NYU film school graduate, raised over $100k for the project, with local businesses and officials supporting the films production in Ketchikan. The Anchorage screening marks a full-circle moment for Torres, with negotiations underway to stream the film in spring 2026. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network.
