Raven Helmet Returns to Kiks.ádi Clan

The Raven helmet, a sacred symbol of Lingít resistance, has been returned to the Kiks.ádi clan after over a century at the Sheldon Jackson Museum. The helmet, considered an at.oow with deep spiritual significance, was initially acquired without proper ceremonial protocols, invalidating its transfer. The repatriation marks a significant step in righting historical wrongs and fostering better relationships between Indigenous communities and institutions. DNN | The Daily News Now!
