Macklemore Donates Million to Palestine | Anchorage News

From Anchorage News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now! The Daily News Now!

Macklemore just dumped a million bucks from his Ed Sheeran tour earnings — calling on billionaire Robert Kraft to match it — to fund Palestinian support orgs, after being dropped from the tour for speaking out on Palestine. Stadium owners, led by Kraft, pressured Sheeran to remove Macklemore or lose venue access, sparking a firestorm over artistic freedom vs. corporate power. Other acts like Finneas and Lukas Graham joined Macklemore in solidarity, quitting the tour to protest billionaire censorship. Sheeran says he respects Macklemore’s stance but wants to stay neutral onstage — and won’t abandon fans. The drama’s far from over as the next show looms.
