Juneau Encampment Cleared, Residents Seek Shelter

On November 15th, an encampment on Teal Street in Juneau, Alaska, was cleared by city officials, leaving residents like Willow, who relied on the shelter for health assistance, displaced. The city cited safety concerns, but with the Glory Hall shelter at capacity and Thane shelter only offering overnight accommodations, many are left wondering where theyll go during the day. Despite the challenges, staff are working to secure beds for those in need before the winter sets in. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network. Every city. Every story.
