Hot Tub's Return Brings Relief to Bethel, Alaska

The hot tub at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Fitness Center in Bethel, Alaska, has reopened after a four-month closure due to a broken pump. The community, including regulars like Susan Sookram, expressed significant concern over the closure, with many checking on its status and even tracking the replacement parts journey. The repair process was delayed by a ten-thousand-dollar part shipment from the lower forty-eight states and Typhoon Halong. Now, with the hot tub fixed, the fitness center is busier than ever, and the local water polo scene has revived, with two teams enjoying pre-game camaraderie in the warm water.
