Gwich'in Language Film 'Two Old Women' Premieres

Two Old Women novel, set in Athabascan legend, is brought to screen for the first time in Gwichin language. Filmmaker Princess Johnson, known for Molly of Denali and True Detective, directs and produces this fourteen-minute short film. Despite pushback, Johnson insists on using Gwichin language for authenticity. The film, starring Margaret Henry John and Brenda K. Newman, will screen in Fairbanks and Anchorage in December.
