Eagle River girls swimming team aims to maintain elite standard at Region IV championships

The Eagle River swimming and diving team, known as the Wolves, are gearing up for their regional competition, aiming to defend their state and region championship titles. The team, which includes seniors Sophia Trembath, Reese Woodward, and Lelaina Trembath, has been training rigorously since August, waking up before six a.m. for early morning practices at the Bartlett pool. Their dedication and consistency have led to impressive results, including breaking program records and setting new in-season records. Despite the pressure to defend their titles, the team remains focused and motivated, with senior leaders like Reese Woodward stepping up as mentors to the younger swimmers. The Wolves' success is built on their strong teamwork, supportive leadership, and the shared goal of making their hard work pay off in the competition. DNN | The Daily News Now!
