Claman Joins Alaska Governor Race

Alaskas political landscape shifts as State Senator Matt Claman announces his gubernatorial bid, joining a crowded race with 13 other candidates. Claman, an attorney with a long history in Alaskan politics, believes his experience is crucial for voters. He plans to run alongside his Senate seat, which may limit his fundraising during legislative sessions. The race includes Democratic former State Senator Tom Begich and Republicans like former Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson. Alaskas unique election system ensures a diverse and competitive race, with the top four candidates advancing to the general election. DNN | The Daily News Now!
