Boe McCarthy Leads Kodiak to Historic Win | Anchorage News

Kodiak High’s football team just stunned Valdez with an 68-0 blowout, led by junior QB Boe McCarthy—whose play-calling in the second half was pure magic. With three TDs, two-point conversions, and a new scoreboard he joked “worked pretty well,” McCarthy is turning around a program that went winless last year. As team captain, he’s been through the lows, even pushing for nine-man football to suit their style, and now his leadership has teammates chanting “state!” after every break. With a 3-1 record, they’re not just winning—they’re building something bigger: trust, grit, and a championship dream fueled by one kid’s fire.
