Anchorage residents and businesses brace for slightly higher water bills in 2023. The Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility, AWWU, requested a rate increase, which the Anchorage Assembly approved unanimously. The typical single-family homeowner will see a monthly increase of $5.56, totaling $65.52 more annually. AWWU cites rising labor, chemical, utility, and maintenance costs as reasons for the increase.
