Weighing over fifteen thousand pounds, the arch features a twelve-dog mushing team and was built with local and regional craftsmanship. Despite raising over six hundred thousand dollars, an additional one hundred thousand is needed for completion. The arch aims to revitalize downtown Anchorage and reverse a trend of deterioration.
