Anchorage Pet Food Bank: Keeping Pets Home for Holidays

Anchorage Animal Care and Controls community pet food bank program, launched on November ninth, aims to alleviate financial burdens for pet owners during the holidays. The initiative provides essential supplies like food, toys, collars, and leashes, preventing pet surrenders due to financial strain. The shelter, particularly in need of cat food, has seen positive community responses, with individuals like Megan Miller donating. The program is open seven days a week, ensuring accessibility for both donations and pickups. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network. Every city. Every story.
