70% of Anchorage residents have cleared snow from their roofs this winter, with 80% considering it. A local survey reveals that 43% experienced negative consequences, including financial burdens and physical injuries. The surveys organizer, Schmidt, is collaborating with modelers to predict snow loads and working with the Municipality of Anchorage to develop safety programs and educational materials.
