07 - Divine Judgment on Israel (Northern Kingdom) – Part 3 [B]
What does the book of Amos teach us about God's judgment and faithfulness? Amos reminds us that God is faithful to His Word, both in grace and in justice. Israel had received abundant blessings, yet their rebellion, idolatry, injustice, and rejection of God's prophets brought consequences according to the covenant. The Lord had warned them repeatedly, but they refused to listen. Through the image of the roaring lion, Amos declares that God's coming judgment is certain. Israel's history demonstrates that God keeps His promises, and His Word remains trustworthy even when it speaks of discipline and judgment.
