The degenerative brain disease CTE and rugby league explained
New research on the degenerative brain disease CTE, has revealed its prevalence in former rugby league players. The Australian Sports Brain Bank can now confirm that 31 players both professional and amateur had the condition when they died. That result came from studying the 51 brains that have been donated so far. The wife of one late rugby league footballer is calling for more players to agree to donate their brains to research.
