Great Players Make the Hard Plays Look Easy, Not the Easy Plays Look Hard
Have you ever had a friend or coworker who seems to make everything look easy, even though you know it's not?
Here's what Coach Dean Smith had to say about such people, "Great players make the hard plays look easy, not the easy plays look hard."
Sometimes we try to make life harder than it should be. We try to control things we were never meant to control. We look to our own strength to handle life's burdens instead of relying on the Lord. It's what Jesus meant when he said, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:30).
If we claim to be Christ followers, then we should want - and choose - to live by God's rules. His regulations. His statutes. His principles. Not our own.
When we do, life is easier. Burdens become lighter.
And we just might hear our Head Coach in heaven say, "You're becoming a great player!"
