South Beach Sessions - Phil Hendrie

Phil Hendrie changed radio by making listeners think they were eavesdropping on people who didn't exist. A younger Dan Le Batard was happily one of those early listeners who fell for it, and it changed the direction of his career as we know it. The legendary pioneer and “man behind a thousand voices” shares how 17 years as a miserable disc jockey ended with one promise to finally be himself, how a fake Gulf War caller accidentally fooled America, and why the funniest people often spend years hiding who they really are. Dan also gives Phil his well deserved flowers and shares his influence on “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz” is still felt to this day. They say “don’t meet your heroes”… unless your hero is Phil Hendrie. Listen to the legend at PhilHendrieShow.com
