Reo Rescues a Point for Celts at Ibrox - Match Reaction - Rangers 2-2 Celtic

This week on 4 Tims and a Podcast, we break down a dramatic 2-2 league draw at Ibrox as Celtic fought back from two goals down against Rangers to salvage a huge point in the title race.

We dig into a nightmare first half for the Hoops — lack of intensity, slack defending, and a Rangers side that punished every mistake to race into a 2-0 lead. Was it nerves? Tactics? Or simply not good enough for an Old Firm clash at Ibrox?

But the second half told a very different story.

We discuss the character and resilience shown Martin O'Neill's side as Celtic roared back into the contest, with the introduction of Reo Hatate and Sebastian Tounekti proving pivotal. Did Hatate change the tempo? Did Tounekti provide the spark out wide? We analyse how the substitutes shifted momentum and turned a lost cause into a valuable point on enemy territory.

Beyond the 90 minutes, we examine what the result means in the bigger picture. With league leaders Heart of Midlothian picking up points elsewhere, both Celtic and Rangers lose ground in the title race. Is this two points dropped or one point gained? And who does this draw ultimately favour as the season heats up?

We also turn our attention to the crucial midweek trip to Pittodrie, where Celtic face Aberdeen in a massive game in hand. Victory would see the Hoops leapfrog their city rivals and close the gap on Hearts at the top — but Pittodrie is never straightforward. We preview the matchup, key battles, potential lineup changes, and give our score predictions.

Can Celtic build on that second-half fightback and take full advantage? Or will this draw prove a costly missed opportunity?

All that and more on this week’s episode of 4 Tims and a Podcast. 🍀
