Tom Wilson And A New Era For Women’s Hockey

Tom Wilson is suspended seven games for his hit on Brandon Carlo. Jeff and Elliotte break down the decision (00:00) and wonder if the number of games would have been different if Wilson wasn’t involved. They then chat about Jim Benning’s Canucks press conference (13:00), the continued struggles in Buffalo (18:00) and answer some #Ask31 questions (25:00). The guys are also joined by NWHL interim commissioner Tyler Tumminia (36:30) who announces the league’s return, what went wrong in Lake Placid, what types of skills she’s leaned on to get through this difficult period, her openness to working with the PWHPA, what she envisions for the game, growing up around baseball and the types of business conversations she has with her husband, Pittsburgh Pirates GM Ben Cherington.
