3 Tests For Genuine Christianity

Scripture warns us that false brethren, false teachers, and false prophets will arise, sometimes from within the church itself. Through John’s warnings in 1 John, and several real-life accounts of false and unscriptural teachings, we expose dangerous errors that distort the gospel. Not every person who claims to represent Christ speaks biblical truth. We must carefully examine every teaching in light of God’s Word rather than being deceived by a person’s influence, reputation, or spiritual claims. How can we distinguish genuine followers of Christ from those who merely profess to know Him? We'll explore three biblical tests found in 1 John: correct belief, obedience to God’s commandments, and genuine love for others. In a time when confusion and deception can easily influence the church and culture, believers must remain grounded in Scripture and exercise spiritual discernment. Join us as we consider how to recognize false teaching, stand firm in biblical truth, and live out an authentic Christian faith that honors the Lord.
