Auburn football has reached a pivotal week of the season. After the loss to Florida exposed problems on both sides of the football, Auburn now has to figure out what can actually be fixed before Vanderbilt comes to Jordan Hare Stadium. Offensively, everything starts with Byrum Brown and the offensive line. Brown was sacked seven times against Florida, and several of those sacks weren't simply the offensive line getting beaten. Brown held onto the football too long on multiple plays and didn't maneuver the pocket well enough to escape pressure. That has to improve. But Auburn also has to stop asking a struggling offensive line to consistently protect for extended periods.
