Comparison of Counseling Techniques

This is a recording from an earlier date when this same material was taught on 4-3-2013. This Sunday School class provides a comparison of several popular counseling philosophies. It groups the more than 250 different forms of psychology and counseling into three main groups and compares and contrasts to Biblical Counseling. The three groups are 1) Depth Psychology founded by Sigmund Freud, 2) Behavioral Psychology founded by B. F. Skinner and 3) Third Force Psychology founded by Carl Rogers. This message also discusses how our culture has erroneously accepted the medical model for mental illnesses. It closes by summarizing the implications of the Biblical Counseling model.
