In a retort to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's refusal of a recent trade deal with the United States, President Trump renamed Lake Ontario to "Lake America." This political renaming of natural landmarks and wonders is not original to Trump. Barack Obama renamed Mount McKinley. Earl Warren's name was stripped from the Legal Institute. Even hundreds of years ago, Romans renamed landmarks. Trump is only reacting to a long tradition, one mostly embarked on by the Left in recent years.
