Our Gospel

The sermon examines the nature of the true gospel as presented in 1 Thessalonians, distinguishing it from false teachings by emphasizing its divine origin and empowering presence through the Holy Spirit. It highlights the Thessalonian church's transformation from idolatry to serving the living God, illustrating that genuine faith involves a visible change in conduct and a reliance on God's sovereignty rather than human will. The message underscores the necessity of repentance and faith as the foundational response to the gospel, which delivers believers from the wrath to come. By contrasting the powerlessness of idols with the authority of Christ, the sermon calls for a personal examination of one's spiritual state, urging listeners to ensure they have received the power to become children of God. The tone is both instructional and convicting, challenging the audience to move beyond mere intellectual assent to a life empowered by the Holy Spirit.
