Lt: Pradžioje rudens, kai saulė įgauna šiltesnį auksinį atspalvį ir mokyklos kiemas užsipildo krintančiais klevo lapais, buvo diena, kai Eglė laukė pradėti naujus mokslo metus.
En: At the beginning of autumn, when the sun takes on a warmer golden hue and the schoolyard fills with falling maple leaves, it was the day when Eglė awaited the start of the new school year.

Lt: Tai buvo nepaprastas laikas.
En: It was an extraordinary time.

Lt: Visur tvyrojo jaudulys ir šurmuliavimas, kai vaikai grįžo iš vasaros atostogų į senutėlę mokyklą.
En: Everywhere was filled with excitement and bustle as children returned from summer vacation to the old school.

Lt: Mokykloje buvo dideli langai, o koridoriai sklidini studentiško juoko.
En: The school had large windows, and the corridors were full of students' laughter.

En: When it was announced at the school assembly that students could vote for a class representative, Egle decided to run her campaign differently from others.

Lt: "Kaip galėčiau išsiskirti?" mąstė ji, mintyse dėliodama planą.
En: "How could I stand out?" she thought, planning in her mind.

Lt: Ji norėjo sukurti projektą, kuris suvienytų mokinius ir padėtų mokyklai.
En: She wanted to create a project that would unite the students and help the school.

Lt: "Egle, ką tu sugalvojai?" pusbalsiu tarė Jurgis, jos geriausias draugas, su maloniu susidomėjimu akyse.
En: "Egle, what did you come up with?" Jurgis, her best friend, said in a half-whisper, with pleasant curiosity in his eyes.

Lt: "Suorganizuoti daugiau renginių, kuriuos mėgsta ir maži, ir dideli," atsakė ji, nors širdis daužėsi stipriai, jausdama abejones, ar jos balsas bus išgirstas.
En: "Organize more events that both young and old enjoy," she replied, though her heart was pounding strongly, feeling doubts about whether her voice would be heard.

Lt: Galiausiai atėjo diena, kai visi mokiniai susirinko mokyklos salėje.
En: Finally, the day came when all the students gathered in the school hall.

Lt: Egle laikė kalbą.
En: Egle gave her speech.
