(27:00) A recent study states that there's no statistical difference between water and sugar-free beverages (such as Diet Coke). Coincidentally, or not, the study was sponsored by the American Beverage Association, which includes soda companies. Unfortunately, people may believe this and think they can drink cola drinks without harming their health. (29:15) Other sodas market themselves as healthy or "functional" drinks. One mixes its own "natural flavors," but uses things like cassava. The amount of processing even needed to make cassava sweet is suspect. The "Dirty Keto" documentary addresses these kinds of products. The marketing of these products is shady. Instead of even saying they are simply an alternative, companies market them as "healthy", which is misleading. Other Food Rules Kosher salt has its own rules.
