Trevor Giles’ You Had To Be There! | OFF THE BALL BREAKFAST

Trevor Giles joins Colm Boohig in Croke Park for a brilliant You Had To Be There run-through of five sporting moments that shaped him — from his first memories in the stands to the biggest days in Meath colours.

He relives a St Pat’s Navan All-Ireland colleges semi-final that went to extra time, a classic Sigerson Cup epic with UCD against a Seamus Moynihan-led UCC, and that unforgettable 1997 Leinster semi-final replay vs Kildare — penalty missed, then a palmed-in goal and THAT iconic, rare celebration!

There’s also a look at the latest trial rules, the state of Gaelic football right now, and Giles’ instinct on who lifts Sam next year.
