So it says, hey weirdos, my name is Shelby and please use my name. Because if I hear this on 4:59 the pod, I will 100% nope 110% have to change my pants from shitting them. Change your pants. 5:05 You just shitted. Please excuse my writing as I am not a writer at the least. I would normally 5:10 apologize for the length but you repeatedly say never. So I won't. Thank you. I went to 5:16 a small private school in rural Tennessee. 5:20 I'm scared. 5:20 It was situated off a small two lane road 5:23 surrounded by cotton fields and no street lights. 5:26 I'm terrified. 5:26 Did I mention that there hasn't been a graduating class 5:29 larger than 65? 5:31 Wow. 5:32 65 people? 5:33 That's not a lot. 5:36 That's but a handful. 5:38 I think actually, Drew's might've been around there. 5:40 Drew had a really small graduating class. 5:43 That's wild. 5:43 Yeah. 5:44 I'm gonna text him and see how many kids 5:45 Let's get graduated in his class. 5:47 He's gonna be like, why are you asking me that? 5:49 He probably will. 5:50 When I say this was a small school, I mean small. 5:53 My graduating class was only 46 people. 5:56 I'm gonna see if Drew beats you. 5:57 Let's see if Drew can beat this. 5:59 46 is crazy. 6:00 46 is nuts. 6:01 Let's diabetes this. 6:04 What? 6:07 Diabetes get through the chat. 6:09 Beat this. 6:11 Diabetes. 6:13 Fair. 6:14 You're silly. 6:14 Thank you. 6:15 The building I am about to describe to you and the setting for today's tales no longer exists. 6:21 However, on some spiritual level, the structure embedded itself deep into the core of my memory. 6:27 There are few pictures of the building left, few pictures I can find attached below. 6:32 Feel free to share any that don't have the school name on it. 6:35 We will do that. 6:35 But I can describe this building in vast detail. I will abstain for the sake of the story. 6:40 I have the update. 6:41 84. 6:42 84? So he didn't diabetes that. 6:43 And I just asked him, he answered, and then I said, period. 6:46 And now my phone's on, do not disturb. 6:49 Period. 6:51 It's going to be like, what? 6:52 It's going to be like, honestly, though, probably not. 6:55 He's just going to move about his day. 6:57 Probably. 6:57 So the beautiful schoolhouse had real hardwood floors, 7:00 two opposing staircases, 20-foot ceilings, long hallways, 7:04 hung with graduating class portraits from years past. 7:07 Small ones. 7:08 This sounds like Chilton from Gilmore Girls. 7:10 I pictured um because we were talking about it recently the school in Monster High. Oh, yeah 7:16 Yeah 7:17 Make the third Monster High movie if we can just go off on a quick tangent, please talk to that up who fucked that up truly 7:26 Fuck you for canceling the third high movie you left it on a cliffhanger, too 7:33 And now we just don't get Frankie's story exact and I guess fuck. Who was that grim reaper guy? 7:38 Yeah, we'll never know no we better find out because somebody out there is gonna make it 7:42 Let's make the third movie come on everybody. Okay. Sorry. That's really pissed me off lately same 7:49 Back to the story the building was two stories the building was two stories tall 7:56 Had huge panel windows was wrapped in dark red brick with a sandy colored stone as an accent color 8:02 That sounds pretty the building was massive beautiful and old 8:06 Why was it so massive if there was only four of you? 8:09 Don't worry about it. 8:10 They just want lots of room to breathe. 8:12 I think lots of room for hauntings. 8:14 That's true. 8:15 They needed to fit the ghosts in there too. 8:17 They were thinking about them when they built it. 8:19 Probably. 8:19 The building was built in 1912, 8:21 though some sources say it was the 20s. 8:23 These sources lie. 8:25 I remember this building vividly, 8:27 and on the face of it was 1912 etched in the stone. 8:31 It even had engraved in stone above the doors 8:33 a girl's entrance and a boy's entrance. 8:36 And throughout the years, Oh Boy has the small, unassuming school seen some dark stuff. 8:42 Many student deaths, including multiple motor vehicle accidents, as well as illness like 8:46 cancer and Rocky Mountain spotted fever, damn, I've never heard of that. 8:50 I mean, either. 8:51 To be quite frank, for a school like this size, the amount of student deaths just 8:55 doesn't seem normal. 8:56 I'm counting seven in the span of 20 years, off the top of my head. 9:00 There were also other dark events that took place involving inappropriate behavior 9:04 of staff. But those are not what these stories are about. I appreciate it. 9:08 So this happened back when I was a kid in fourth or fifth grade. I was in the school alone. 9:12 LOL, the times when kids were just free to roam about a big empty school 9:16 in the gym waiting for my mom to get off work. The gym was a basketball court with built-in 9:21 wooden bleachers to one side, a locker room under the bleachers, and a stage at one end. 9:26 That's wild. Side note, the gym portion of the building was added in the 40s. 9:30 Above the stage was a wrap-around U-shaped closet that housed all the theater department 9:35 costumes, props, as well as other things from past homecomings, proms, and whatnot. 9:40 There were only two ways to get to the upper closet slash hallway area. 9:44 Offstage right, you could go up the built-in bleachers to a door that had a rather large 9:49 step to enter, or offstage left, you could climb a ladder made of two-by-fours to 9:55 a small square-shaped opening. 9:57 Those all sound horrifying. 9:59 Yeah, they don't sound like the best entrances. 10:01 No. 10:02 Why were these the only two options? 10:04 My guess is to confuse or trip whatever hell demon lived up there. 10:07 I agree. 10:08 Like Winchester Mystery Housewives. 10:10 There you go. 10:10 The narrow hallway was cramped and filled to the brim with years of production materials. 10:15 Fire code violation? 10:16 Probably. 10:17 I was squeezing my way towards the back part of the hall around the corner to pull 10:21 the small chain to turn the singular light bulb on when I heard a muffled 10:25 voice from the part of the hallway where I just came. 10:28 Ew. 10:29 I knew right away that it wasn't human. 10:30 Ew times two. 10:32 I froze, waited a few seconds, then kept moving. 10:35 The muffled voice sounded again, identical to the one I had just heard moments ago. 10:39 I turned expecting to see someone behind me. 10:42 I thought, someone has to be playing a joke on me. 10:44 So I went back down the narrow hallway and turned the corner. 10:48 No one. 10:49 Silence. 10:50 At this point, I'm not sure what convinced my fourth grade brain to think, eh, better 10:55 keep going down this hallway, but I sure did. I turned back down the hallway and pulled the 11:00 light chain. I finagled my way over the princess dresses when thud, a huge bang followed by a 11:06 muffled voice, came from the front hallway. The muffled voice kept sounding rhythmically. 11:11 I ran towards the sound. Was this brevity or naivety? Naivety? 11:17 Naivety. 11:18 Isn't it? 11:18 Naivety. 11:19 Yeah. 11:20 Yeah. I think it was spelled different, so I was like, what does that mean? 11:22 Naivety. 11:23 Naivety. 11:24 Okay. 11:24 You have to say it like pretentiously to be honest. 11:26 Yeah, you absolutely do. 11:28 You have to say it like- 11:28 More gross. 11:29 Yeah, that's, hell yeah. 11:30 She's not pretentious. 11:31 No. 11:32 Most likely, rip. 11:34 Most likely the latter. 11:35 The voice of, and I have a T. 11:37 The voice got louder and louder. 11:39 I love you, I love you. 11:41 What? 11:41 At least it's saying nice things. 11:43 That would stress me out. 11:45 I finally could make out what it was saying. 11:47 My heart was racing so hard I could hear it in my ears 11:49 and I could feel my face tingle red. 11:51 It kept repeating until I found small stuffed bear holding a heart making the sound that was being crushed by a Greek-styled bust. 11:59 Ew. I picked it up and the sound stopped. As I tried to get my heart rate back down, it wasn't working. 12:05 I looked around to see where this bust could have fallen and couldn't find anywhere. 12:09 Granted, it was packed to the brim with props, so it could have come from anywhere. 12:13 But what made the stuffed bear go off two times before? Needless to say, I yeeted my tiny fourth grade self out of that area ASAP. 12:20 Did I continue to go back up into the prop room 12:23 while I was at that school? 12:24 Absolutely. 12:25 Your girl always had a proclivity for the paranormal. 12:28 Hell yeah, sister. 12:29 Now that reminds me even the sixth sense 12:31 when he gets locked in that cabinet. 12:33 Oh, that's so much creepier. 12:34 And it's like the voice 12:35 or when they're just listening to the voice 12:37 from the cabinet. 12:38 That part haunts my dreams until this day. 12:40 I fucking hate that part. 12:41 At the birthday party? 12:42 I hate it. 12:43 That one is the scariest part of the entire movie, 12:45 I think. Oh my God. 12:46 Maybe not, but like. 12:47 And you don't even see anything. 12:48 Yeah. 12:48 That's just that part fucked me up. 12:50 I honestly can't even rewatch that movie 12:52 because it scares the shit out of me. 12:54 It scares the shit out of me and they're so mean to him. 12:56 And I don't think I can watch it as a parent to me. 12:58 That's the thing. 12:59 And then, you know, you've had plenty of time 13:00 to figure this out. 13:01 When you find out that the guy's actually dead, 13:03 it's just really sad. 13:04 Spoiler alert. 13:05 Yeah, you've had plenty. 13:06 I think that movie came out the year I was born. 13:08 Holy shit. 13:09 Yeah, you've had 30 years too. 13:10 But you know what I mean? 13:11 Yeah. 13:12 I mean it's just sad. 13:13 It is really sad. 13:14 It's a good movie. 13:15 It is fun though when you find that out 13:17 to go back and watch it. 13:18 Cause then you can watch it and be like, oh shit. 13:20 Yeah, he was. 13:21 And then there's also like all the red 13:22 that tells you when, yeah, yeah. 13:25 Now I have so many more stories about this building 13:27 that I can save for another time, 13:29 but I won't, the time is now. 13:32 Whoa. 13:33 The girls that get it get it. 13:35 Yeah. 13:35 Thank you for doing that. 13:37 Cause usually people are like, I have so many more stories. 13:40 I'll send them later. 13:41 Maybe I'll send them later. 13:41 And I'm like, no, give it to me. 13:42 It's like dangling a carrot. 13:43 Yeah, I just want them. 13:45 This story takes place in the gym 13:46 and is much shorter. 13:48 One day after school, I was in the gym alone shooting basketball when suddenly nature called. 13:52 I sat the basketball down on the bench on the side of the court and left for the restroom. 13:56 The restrooms in this building have their own stories in the saga. 14:00 Stay tuned. 14:00 Oh man. 14:01 On my way back, I heard someone dribbling the ball. 14:03 Oh, someone must have come in while I was gone, I thought. 14:06 So I made my way to the gym to find no one, not a single soul. 14:11 And the ball that I specifically remember placing on the bench was now perfectly 14:14 in the center of the court. 14:16 Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. 14:19 Now the restrooms. 14:19 It's like the meow-meow song. 14:21 No, no, no, no, no, no. 14:23 Now the restrooms. 14:24 There were two restrooms in this massive building. 14:27 That's it. 14:28 I mean, they don't have a lot of people in there. 14:29 Got them. 14:30 One next to the gym and another down on, 14:33 down one of the main hallways, 14:34 practically under the staircase, 14:36 both haunted as fuck. 14:38 Oh, every school bathroom is haunted as fuck. 14:40 Absolutely, even brand new ones. 14:42 Yeah, yeah. 14:43 Haunted. 14:43 It could be built yesterday. 14:44 That's what Bloody Mary lives there. 14:45 Yeah, it's true. 14:47 Now, anyone who's ever been in those restrooms will tell you, 14:50 you always felt uneasy in there, especially if you were alone. 14:53 Because even if you were alone, you never felt like it. 14:57 There would be times I would go into the restroom 14:58 and literally start to panic. 15:00 I could never stay in there for too long. 15:02 The restroom at the end of the hall next to the stairs 15:04 was the worst of the two. 15:06 That one made me so uneasy 15:08 that after only two times being in there, 15:10 I straight up refused to go in there ever again. 15:13 That's valid. 15:13 I remember not taking but a few steps in and not being able to breathe. 15:17 My head would start to spin and my brain would cloud up. 15:20 Not fun. 15:21 Yeah. 15:22 The other place I couldn't take more than a few steps 15:24 without feeling the weight of get the fuck out 15:26 was the locker room under the bleachers. 15:28 Oh, locker rooms are also haunted. 15:31 Yeah, they are. 15:32 They're cursed. 15:33 I wish I had more stories of that room, but, but child, was it? 15:37 Child Me took hints for it. 15:39 Child Me. 15:39 But child's me took the hint from the vibes as being don't even try, so I didn't you're smart 15:45 Now fast forward a little after some shady dealings about money that I won't get into the building was torn down in 2008 15:52 I wish she got into the shady deal. I know I want the shady dealings 15:55 I literally cried as I watched the demolition tear down the walls of this beautiful school house 16:00 I spent my childhood running through wanting to know every story here her walls could tell and maybe she tries still tries to tell me 16:08 Since 2008, I have recurring dreams of the building to this day. 16:11 And they are frequent. 16:13 There have been too many to count. 16:14 I probably have one every few months or so. 16:17 Wow. 16:17 All of them with the vivid details of the building I remember from childhood. 16:21 Not only the building itself, but the plethora of feelings, both mystical and nefarious 16:26 I used to feel while in there. 16:27 I think somewhere along the way the spirits of the building or the spirit of the building 16:31 and I connected. 16:33 I wish I could explain it better. 16:34 Even years later, I still get upset about the tearing down of the building. 16:38 I can still describe every detail of. 16:40 I wish I could take you guys on a tour of the place. 16:42 Maybe one day, for my own sake, I will sit down and simply write out, 16:45 in detail, every room as I still see it in my mind. 16:48 That would be sick. 16:49 You should do that. 16:50 Anywho, that's my tale. 16:52 Thank you for taking the time to read, 16:53 and I hope it added some spookiness to your day. 16:56 Keep it weird, but not so weird that take it away, Ash. 16:59 That's so weird that you roam the haunted school alone, 17:02 and you get haunted by basketballs and teddy bears and Greek busts. 17:05 Yeah, don't do that. 17:07 Don't keep it that weird. 17:07 Much love. 17:08 Shelby. 17:09 Shelby. 17:10 Oh, that is a beautiful school. 17:13 Oh, that's sad they tore it down. 17:15 That's a spooky. 17:17 Oh, I don't like the red door of the bathroom 17:19 because that's very sixth sense. 17:21 I love it. 17:22 Oh, those pictures are spooky. 17:24 The demolition ones make me say it. 17:26 Mm-hmm. 17:26 I don't like demolition. 17:28 I don't like demolition either. 17:29 They're just in general. 17:31 I don't like demolition. 17:32 Thumbs me out. 17:33 Derby's anything demolition related. 17:35 I just don't want it. 17:36 Oh, I like demolition derbies. 17:37 I do not. 17:38 It's too rad. 17:48 Lily Reinhart and Tom Bateman star in the love hypothesis, 17:51 a smart, swoony rom-com about a fake relationship 17:54 that sparks very real chemistry. 17:56 Opposites attract, sparks fly, 17:58 and love might just be the best hypothesis yet. 18:01 Watch now on Prime Video. 18:05 Chilling crime cases are mysterious, 18:07 But finding coverage shouldn't be with the state farm personal price plan 18:11 You have options and can personalize your plan to help create an affordable price 18:16 So you can get back to cracking all of life's bigger cases 18:19 Talk to a state farm agent today to learn how you can choose to bundle and save with the personal price plan 18:25 Like a good neighbor state farm is there head to state farm comm to get a quote 18:29 Prices are based on rating plans that vary by state coverage options are selected by the customer 18:35 Availability, amount of discounts and savings, and eligibility vary by state. 18:40 This October, you're about to be asking, who is Other Mommy? 18:44 The new horror movie from Blumhouse, executive producer of Obsession and James Bond producer 18:49 of Backrooms, hits theaters October 9th. 18:52 Other Mommy will keep audiences on the edge of their seats, as Academy Award winner 18:56 Jessica Chastain stars in dual roles. 18:59 She leaves everyone guessing on, just who is Other Mommy? 19:03 It's been a great year for horror films, and other mommy feels like it's going to continue 19:07 on that path. 19:08 Your mommy won't save you this October. 19:10 Other mommy releases in theaters October 9th. 19:18 All right, tale number two, fellas. 19:20 The time an old man chased my friends out of a haunted house, or haunted school, excuse 19:23 me, with an axe. 19:25 And you want to be anonymous. 19:27 Hey, Ash and Alina, please don't share my name if you decide to share this on 19:30 the episode. 19:30 We won't. 19:31 I'm not gonna. 19:32 Before I start with my tale, I just had to tell you guys that Morbid pretty much 19:35 saved my life. 19:36 Oh. 19:36 A little backstory. It happens a lot 21:08 I knew I had to start making changes in my life so that I wasn't overcome with my depression 21:12 That's when I remembered morbid and how much I enjoyed listening to you guys 21:16 Oh, I made morbid my reward for doing a task 21:19 That's really sweet 21:21 Kills me. I know 21:24 Washing bottles morbid 21:25 Showering morbid folding laundry morbid folding laundry is morbid 21:29 This is actually a really smart thing to do too. 21:32 Yeah. 21:33 I want to start treating things like a reward 21:35 to make me do things. 21:37 You should. 21:37 Like that even small things, 21:39 like we're even seeing that like showering. 21:41 Yeah. 21:41 You got to do this like, 21:42 because like kind of how life works. 21:44 Yeah. 21:45 Give yourself a reward. 21:46 Yeah. 21:46 That's another way of like romanticizing life. 21:49 Make yourself a sticker chart. 21:50 And make little things rewards. 21:52 Yeah. 21:53 Like I get to listen to my audiobook 21:54 or like I get to listen to a podcast. 21:56 I think that's really corrupted 21:57 for like however many times. 21:58 Yeah, yeah, thank you anonymous for telling us to do that 22:02 Well the more I listened the more I got done and the better I felt fast forward four years later and another baby 22:07 And I'm doing so much better. That's awesome 22:10 There are moments when I look at my daughter and think that if I had never found this podcast 22:15 I might not be here today. Oh, that's really damn. Thank you. You just gave me like the full chill. I know 22:21 Anyways, I'm sorry to get all mushy, but I just want to say thank you now to my story 22:25 Thank you. 22:26 Yeah. 22:26 Thanks for listening. 22:27 Damn. 22:28 The year was 2016. 22:29 I was on a date with my two friends, their boyfriends, and their boyfriend's friend. 22:32 If that was confusing, they said, if that was confusing, I was always the friend with 22:38 no boyfriend who always went on dates with the other guy in the group with no girlfriend. 22:44 That sucks. 22:45 That does suck. 22:46 I've been there. 22:46 Yeah, we've all been there. 22:47 Yeah. 22:48 The difference this time was that I had a huge crush on the guy that I was on 22:51 a date with. 22:52 That's pretty good. 22:53 That's awesome. 22:54 Crushes are fun. 22:55 Crushes are fun. 22:57 I think it's become a hot topic, but crushes are fun. 23:00 Did you guys know that some Gen Zs think crushes are bad? 23:03 Yeah. 23:03 Look into it. 23:04 Look into it. 23:05 It's crazy more. 23:06 It's crazy. 23:07 Wait, what, limerence? 23:08 Oh, yeah. 23:09 Limerence. 23:10 Limerence. 23:10 Look into that. 23:11 Yeah. 23:11 Anyway. 23:12 Damn. 23:12 We drove 45 minutes from our little town to a slightly bigger town that had a fair going on at the time. 23:17 A first date at the fair. 23:18 Stop it. 23:19 With your crush? 23:20 Or like when we have a crush on? 23:21 Come on. 23:21 I die. We had our fun and decided to stop at a shake place. 23:26 Oh! 23:26 The problem with this detail is that I am lactose intolerant. 23:32 As someone with a very lactose intolerant household. 23:35 Uh-oh. 23:36 As somebody who is lactose intolerant and has IBS and is just constantly in the bathroom, 23:41 I fear for you, baby girl. Yeah. 23:44 Or baby boy, I'm anonymous. 23:45 I didn't want the baby anonymous, baby A. 23:49 And didn't want to be the only one who didn't get a shake. 23:51 So I ordered one. 23:53 Sure enough, on the way home, my stomach was pissed. 23:56 Oh yeah, I shake a fuck you up. 23:58 I'll shake? 23:58 I'm close and taller. 23:59 Because that's like, don't they put milk in the ice cream to like? 24:04 Yeah, that's fucked up. 24:05 Dude. 24:06 But I had to play it cool to not scare this hottie away. 24:08 No way. 24:09 Two more important side details I need to add. 24:11 And then I will get on with it. 24:12 I have a severe fear of disappointment. 24:15 I hate when I disappoint people, but especially my parents. 24:18 So I never really did anything that was remotely dangerous, 24:20 illegal, etc. Can't relate. The second fact is that I am a 24:25 scaredy cat who loves true crime, so it makes a lot of things 24:28 worse when put in scary situations. I understand that. 24:31 Like, yeah, I can relate there. Our group decided to stop at an 24:34 old elementary school that was haunted in the middle of 24:36 nowhere. Fun. It was a full moon and I was not about to go 24:40 into a haunted school in the middle of the night with me 24:43 trying not to shit my pants with my hot date. Oh no. 24:46 I knew that if I got really scared, I wouldn't be able 24:49 to hold it in. I'm so scared that you're gonna shit yourself with your hot date. 24:52 True and normally this would be great but like as a first date with a crush you 24:56 like because it's like oh I'm scared. Yeah. Oh eee! Going on. You know like it 25:00 but this one you're like this one if I get scared and I shit my pants. Yeah that's rough. 25:06 You're totally gonna shit on your crush. I can feel it. I can feel that you're 25:09 gonna shit on this kid. Literally. You're gonna shit on a ghost I think. 25:14 You're gonna shit, period, at the end of the day. 25:17 Okay, so they went in and I stayed in the, hold on. 25:21 I told everyone I was gonna be the getaway driver 25:23 in case anything happened. 25:24 That was smart. 25:25 Then you can go shit in the woods 25:26 while everybody is in the car with the bias. 25:30 So they put the bias. 25:33 They went in and I stayed in the back bucket seat, 25:35 some getaway driver, eh? 25:37 I was curled in the seat 25:38 so that my head wasn't poking over, 25:39 but I could still see the rear view mirror. 25:42 That's when I saw him. 25:43 An old man carrying an axe wearing nothing but overalls 25:47 and a ball cap was walking up to the car. 25:50 The idiots who left me had left the doors open 25:53 and the key and the ignition and the car on. 25:57 Oh no. 25:58 Mama, you gotta get in that front seat 25:59 and hit that man, maybe. 26:01 I don't know. 26:03 Not escape, just commit homicide. 26:05 Just go to the place of vehicular homicide real quick. 26:08 I panicked and got on the ground quick, 26:11 covered myself in a blanket 26:12 and just prayed that I was not about to get murdered. 26:14 Oh no. 26:15 He walked around the car, got in the driver's side, 26:18 and turned the car off. 26:20 What? 26:20 He then shut all the doors and walked inside the school. 26:23 It's kind of nice that he wants to save your gas. 26:25 That was before gas was even expensive, probably. 26:29 Heart would have stopped beating. 26:30 Yeah, I would have shipped myself. 26:31 Just ceased. 26:32 What if you shit on that guy? 26:33 I would have stopped. 26:34 What if that was your defense mechanism? 26:35 He used to think, how did you not shit them? 26:37 Like, that would have been the time I shit. 26:39 Even if I didn't have issues going on, I would have shit my pants in the scenario. 26:46 Yeah, I would have peed them at least. 26:47 Yeah, if you didn't shit your pants then you could have gone in that house or in the element. 26:51 Yeah, maybe you won't shit on your crush if you didn't shit on the guy. 26:54 I immediately called Sarah, nothing, Anna, nothing. 26:58 I called the guy I was on the date with, nothing, shit on him. 27:01 Because the car, he doesn't answer your phone calls, poop on him. 27:04 He put that on a fucking t-shirt because the car was off. 27:08 It was silent outside. 27:09 I heard no screams, but they weren't answering. 27:12 I knew better than to go back inside, 27:14 but I felt like I had to. 27:15 I decided to call one more time before going in 27:18 and my date finally answered. 27:19 Okay, glad you didn't shut up yet. 27:21 You don't have to shut up. 27:21 He was laughing and suddenly stopped 27:24 when I whispered to him that somebody 27:25 with an axe had come inside 27:27 and they needed to come out a different way. 27:29 Then the call drops. 27:32 Oh no. Oh my God. 27:33 I'm nervous. 27:34 I can't with this. 27:35 I decide to hop in the driver's seat and wait for them to come out. 27:38 After what felt like an eternity, all five of them ran outside with the old man chasing 27:42 them out of office as fast as I could. 27:45 No one recognized who this man was, and to this day, I have no idea who it could have 27:49 been. 27:50 What? 27:51 You just never found out who this man with an ax was? 27:53 I mean, how do you find out, really? 27:55 I don't know. 27:56 He probably was just there to scare us away, but I've never been more grateful 27:59 to be a scaredy cat with diarrhea than in that instance. 28:02 I know that I'm not the best writer untrue, but I hope that you ladies enjoyed my story 28:06 about the one time an old man chased my friends with an axe out of a haunted house. 28:10 Thank you for all that you do. 28:11 I'm just glad you didn't shit on your crush. 28:14 I can't believe that that man, that's pretty iconic old man behavior to be quite honest. 28:20 Yeah, it actually is. 28:21 It reminds me of the old man lore of our town. 28:25 Yeah. 28:25 There's always old man lore of any town I feel and I think that's, I want, 28:29 I would love if I became an old man I would I too would chase kids away from things 28:34 I think I think you'll do that as an old woman, too 28:37 Maybe you might we never know I respect it, but I think that's like old man, right? Yeah, you know 28:44 It's a right of passage as old man majors out of places. They shouldn't be oh my god 28:48 Do you remember the guy with the lawn? Yeah? Oh? 28:52 Yeah, like I was oh, yeah, I was scary. Yeah get off my lawn 28:56 Yeah, they're legit. 28:57 Old Dan yells at clouds. 28:58 You like how to gun, right? 28:59 Yeah, he definitely didn't just say get off my lawns, 29:02 like there was some violence involved today off his lawn. 29:05 About violence. 29:07 But everybody has one of those, right? 29:09 You guys know what that is, right? 29:10 You guys get it. 29:20 It's time to get the most out of your money with Chime. 29:23 Chime offers the most rewarding fee-free banking, 29:26 all with no overdraft fees, 29:28 no monthly fees, and no minimum balances. 29:31 You get 5% cash back on Chime card 29:34 in a category of choice, like gas or groceries, all while building your credit through everyday 29:39 spending. After her father's sudden death, 31:51 Carrie White enters public school for the first time and must navigate a viral bullying scandal, 31:57 the relentless pressure of the social media age, and the awakening of mysterious telekinetic powers 32:02 that rise alongside her adolescence, you know, the usual. Carrie is a story about how small 32:07 acts of cruelty snowball into something catastrophic. A theme that feels as painfully relevant today 32:13 as it did 50 years ago. I am so so excited to see how this is done. Kerry's story hits hard in this 32:20 modern world because bullying as we all know can follow you everywhere nowadays so I cannot wait 32:26 to see how this goes. Kerry is streaming October 7th only on Prime Video. Uh, Tale 3. Spooky 32:38 stories from a school for the deaf and the blind. Hello lovely ladies. Please do not use my name. 32:44 Oh another anonymous but they have a pseudonym. A pseudonym, a pen name if you will. Please 32:51 do not use my name but you can call me Emma. I've been meaning to send this to you for a while 32:56 as I believe you'll greatly enjoy the spooky tale written in this puttapa. We better. 33:00 Everything within me wants to apologize for the length but I know you'll both just scream 33:04 I'm never apologizing. 33:06 Just kidding. 33:06 Read on regardless. 33:07 Freakin' champs. 33:08 Oh my God, thank you. 33:09 I am a teacher at a school for the deaf and the blind. 33:12 This school was established in 1846 33:14 and is still running strong. 33:16 It's located in a picturesque, 33:17 adorable little town called Stanton. 33:20 Oh no, Stanton. 33:22 Don't know why there's a you there. 33:24 Oh, okay, here we go. 33:26 Stanton, I know we don't believe 33:27 in proper phonics here, I guess. 33:29 Thank you very much. 33:30 That's nice that they recognized it. 33:32 Which is also known for its many ghost stories due to being built atop limestone caves with rushing waters that the spirits seem to really enjoy. 33:40 I would like to look into that. 33:41 I want to. 33:42 The school has loads, and I mean loads of ghost stories that have been documented by multiple staff members and students over the years. 33:49 It's also important to note that during the Civil War it was temporarily shut down to serve as a hospital for both the Confederate and Union soldiers. Damn. 33:59 That's so interesting because that happened back then like with schools and hotels. Yeah, they would make them into a hospital 34:04 Whenever we tell a haunted hotel story that happens at one point. It was a civil war 34:08 Legit. This is crucial information since during renovations 34:12 They found tons of amputated leg and arm bones in a mass pile and you know how ghosts feel about renovations 34:18 They do not like we also made a ghost story documentary based on the stories below buckle up buttercup. It's about to get spooky fuck 34:25 Yeah, I'm buckled the school has 34:28 residential because I'm on the bus. The school has a residential student, you always have a buckle. 34:33 The school has residential students, so that means staff members work in a variety of shifts 34:38 throughout the day and night. Many night staff members have seen one swing swinging, 34:43 oh one swing swinging while the other stagnant during the windless nights. The old metal 34:49 merry go round, creaking quietly in circles without anyone around, as well as various 34:54 ghosts throughout the property. I don't like it. Playground ghosts freak me out. It reminds me 34:58 of the Shawnee amusement park. Yeah. Or the beginning of Are You Afraid of the Dark. There's 35:03 famously a little boy in early 1900s blue clothing who we call the boy in blue. Why? That's very 35:09 unique. Why? He's a harmless lad who is usually caught running the halls after bedtime. Playing 35:14 hide-and-seek from the staff members are bouncing a ball down the hall. That's cute. 35:18 In the early 1900s there used to be a road that cut the campus in half. It was quite 35:22 dangerous since there were many carriages and early vehicles just zooming by without paying much 35:27 attention to the deaf and blind children present on the grounds. That's super cool of humans. 35:32 You guess we didn't have those signs yet. People always be people. In one sad instance, 35:37 a little boy was struck by a vehicle and passed away on the property. The road was then bought 35:41 and grasped over to combine the campus into one. Wow, that's so tragic. However, staff 35:47 members believed the boy in blue was the same boy who was struck by the car that fateful 35:51 day. He still haunts the halls in the nearby dorm and enjoys playing tricks on both the 35:55 students and staff members who live there. I like that he's just like living in the 35:58 afterlife. Hey, it's just being a kid. Yeah, just pranking. Good for him. 36:01 This dorm is very spooky. It was renovated recently to become apartments where older students 36:06 would live and practice independent living skills like cooking, cleaning, paying bills, 36:11 et cetera. Oh, the worst skills to have to have. 36:13 In order to prepare them for adult life, the renovations must have stirred up some 36:17 other spirit friends because the students and interns would arrive to 36:20 school and share stories about what they experienced the night before. 36:25 Faucets would turn on by themselves and run for long periods of time. 36:28 Bathroom doors would lock by themselves and the water would run in the shower. 36:32 Lights would flicker on and off throughout the night. Random cold 36:35 fronts would pass through the room and TVs would turn on and off without 36:38 anyone touching the remote. That's my least favorite. 36:41 Yeah, that one's scary. Again, it seems like these ghosts just enjoy 36:44 by playing harmless tricks on those who live here. 36:46 But it's scary nonetheless. 36:47 Yeah. 36:48 I was filming a movie in the dorm 36:50 with a few of my students I almost hiccuped. 36:52 While filming one of the students noticed 36:54 that all of the burners on the stove were red hot. 36:57 Yeah, that's right. 36:59 Every single burner was put on high. 37:01 That's fucked up. 37:02 None of us had gone near the stove 37:04 and were pretty freaked out by this. 37:06 According to two different groups of interns, 37:08 this happened to them multiple times as well. 37:11 Thankfully, nobody has gotten hurt by this, 37:13 but it seems to be the most malicious trick. 37:15 It's pretty fucking malicious. 37:16 Main Hall was the original building erected in 1846, 37:20 where the students lived and participated in school. 37:23 It's a stunning brick building, 37:24 and this was the one that was briefly turned 37:26 into a hospital during the Civil War. 37:29 This is the building where most stories were documented. 37:31 Let me add that there are older stories 37:33 since students no longer live in this building 37:35 or participate in student activities here 37:37 since it was being renovated. 37:39 Again, with the renovations. 37:41 Oi, with the poodles. 37:42 Boy with the renovations. When students still lived in the dorm, many blind students commented 37:47 that they heard what sounded like walking slowly down the hall on crutches. It would hear one 37:52 leg thwump and two creaky sounds follow. After sharing this with a few deaf students, they 37:59 set out to find out who was walking the halls past bedtime. The floor was vibrating 38:03 and one heart of hearing student heard the same sounds that the blind students described. 38:09 Oh, wow. 38:10 This is so interesting. 38:11 It is. 38:11 I love how they work together to be like, 38:12 all right, let's use all our collective powers here. 38:14 All our senses. 38:15 Yeah. 38:16 They slowly opened their door to peek out and gasped. 38:19 They saw a soldier dressed in his union uniform. 38:22 He was slowly crutching down the hall. 38:24 His right leg was amputated below the knee and still bandaged and bloody. 38:28 He looked like he was looking for something. 38:31 Our lore calls him Billy X and says he walks the halls at night looking for his 38:35 missing leg. 38:36 That's so sad. 38:37 Poor Billy X. 38:39 My TA was an alumni for the school and worked with me daily. 38:43 She had a story she experienced when she was in high school. 38:46 During her time, the Student Activity Center was located in Main Hall. 38:50 It was Halloween night. 38:51 Oh, see? 38:52 There it is. 38:53 Halloween night. 38:53 Foggy and crisp with the moon peeking out behind rolling clouds. 38:56 Oh, I love it. 38:57 What a picture you just painted, period. 38:59 She was dressed in her costume and headed to the Student Center for the Halloween 39:02 party that was planned for that evening. 39:04 When she arrived, they told her, sorry, you're too early and need to wait in 39:07 the hall. We will let you know when you can come in." She sighed, frustrated, and sat 39:11 in one of the old red velvet chairs that lined the downstairs hallway. 39:15 Curiosity got the best of her, so she decided to sneak up the off-limit stairs to check 39:20 out the bend and second floor. I, too, would do that. 39:22 Yep. What else are you going to do? 39:24 Yeah, exactly. 39:25 These stairs had a landing in between floors where you had to turn in order to go 39:29 up to the final set before reaching the next floor. She was successful at making 39:33 it up the first set. As she turned, she felt a sudden ice-cold chill run through her, and all of the 39:38 hair stood up on her body. She knew something was off. Slowly, she looked up to the top of the stairs 39:44 and saw two dirty, bare feet standing at the top of the landing. No. No. No. No. No. Uh-uh. 39:56 Not for me. 39:58 Clean your feet. 39:59 A young girl wearing a tattered old white nightgown was slow, stepping slowly down the stairs. 40:06 Get out of here. 40:08 Wash your nightgown. 40:10 Wash your feet. 40:10 Wash your nightgown. 40:12 Wash your feet. 40:14 Wash up. 40:14 Just hygiene. 40:16 Forget squabble up. 40:17 Wash up. 40:19 My TA said absolutely not. 40:21 but it as quickly as possible and flew down the stairs. 40:25 Out of breath, she reported this to her staff 40:27 who did not believe her. 40:29 Fuck them. 40:30 Now you may be wondering, do you have a story yourself? 40:33 Well, yes, in fact, I do. 40:35 While filming this ghost story documentary, 40:37 we were in main hall in the dollhouse room. 40:40 Yes, I know. 40:41 Did you just say dollhouse room? 40:44 Yeah, I sure did. 40:45 Apparently in the 50s, 40:46 students would build dollhouses from scratch 40:48 and enter them into competitions around the state. 40:50 That's really fun. 40:51 That's not sick. 40:52 I want to do that. 40:54 They won multiple times and had a few relics of furniture they made, 40:57 as well as their massive winning dollhouse in the center of the room. 41:00 I bet that was so cool but also so creepy. 41:02 So spooky, yeah. 41:04 This was on the abandoned second floor where nobody works or goes since it's off limits. 41:08 Oh, they should display that. 41:09 Yeah, we had to get special permission to film up there and take multiple safety precautions. 41:14 One of my students was sharing her story about feeling a cold rush while in the 41:20 entry student. The entire class was helping film, setting up lights, finding the best place 41:25 for her to stand, filming, directing, and giving feedback. At this point in the project, my 41:30 students were comfortable doing this with little support from me, so I enjoyed stepping 41:34 back and watching them do their magic. 41:37 Mind you, I am the only hearing person in the room. I'm standing by a wall somewhere 41:41 near the door while they're filming on the opposite end of the room to my left. 41:46 Suddenly, I felt a cold rush as the hair stood up on my body. 41:50 To my right, I heard a marble drop to the floor and roll down the hallway. 41:54 I stared in disbelief and didn't know what to do because I was the only hearing person. 42:00 I was the only one that heard this. 42:02 My students kept filming happily and quickly moved towards them. 42:06 I guess, and I quickly moved towards them. 42:07 I guess I looked like I had just seen a ghost because they all paused and stared 42:11 at me. 42:12 They knew. 42:12 We all got out of there as quickly as possible. 42:15 I will end with what I find to be the spookiest tale of all. 42:19 A blind department student had gotten lost and disoriented while going to class. 42:23 He was stuck on the fourth floor, which at the time was only used for storage and wasn't 42:28 sure how to find the stairs. 42:30 He checked each door he could find only to find it locked. 42:33 He was increasingly more frustrated each time the door handle didn't turn and even 42:37 more flustered since he had no sense of where he was. 42:40 I must be really scary. 42:42 Soon he felt a tap on his shoulder and a young boy's voice say, 42:45 hey, do you need help? 42:47 Yeah, that would be great since I'm not sure where I am. 42:50 I know I'm late for class and I can't figure out how to get there. 42:52 I can help. 42:53 The young boy replied. 42:55 He grabbed the blind student by his shirt and led him down the hallway 42:57 towards the down the stairs and to the correct floor. 43:01 I'm so glad you said to the correct floor. 43:02 I thought you were going to say like to the basement and killed him 43:04 and then murdered him. 43:05 Yeah, spooky. 43:07 I feel like that was the spookiest. 43:09 So the blind student thanked the boy and went to class. 43:12 When he got to class, the teacher's teacher said, 43:14 where have you been? 43:15 We've been looking for you everywhere. 43:16 Oh, I got lost on the fourth floor, I think, 43:18 and this boy helped me get here. 43:20 Can you help me find him? 43:21 I want to thank him. 43:22 They walked into the hall and saw nothing. 43:24 Check the stairway, nothing. 43:26 Check the fourth floor, nothing. 43:28 Nobody knew who the boy was, where he came from, 43:30 or what he looked like. 43:32 Maybe it was a harmless boy in blue 43:33 who noticed a lost friend and wanted to lend some help. 43:36 Wait, that's not spooky. 43:37 That's the sweetest thing I've ever heard either way 43:40 I find this the spookiest since the blind student was completely unaware that he was interacting with the spirit that is pretty fucking spooky 43:47 Well, this concludes my tales from the deaf and blind school. I hope you enjoyed reading them 43:51 Maybe one day I'll write you about living in a former insane asylum turned prison turned apartment complex until then much love to you 43:58 Emma Emma don't just dangle that carrot out. Yeah, I want that 44:02 Give me that Emma. 44:04 Give me that Emma. 44:04 Give me that Emma. 44:05 Poor Favore. 44:06 We're going to end on the probably best tale, at least best headline we've ever gotten. 44:11 Tale 5. 44:12 Fuck that condom stained house. 44:15 And I thank you for this tale, and I thank you. 44:18 Hello my beautiful besties, because yes, I do consider you guys my besties. 44:22 I'm going to jump straight into my tale, otherwise if I start talking about my love 44:26 for you guys and your show, this thing won't be a tale, it'll be a damn tome. 44:30 Hell yeah. 44:31 Before I do that, I have to give a shout out to my mom, who I've also put on to your show. 44:35 Shout out to your mom. 44:36 Shout out mama. 44:37 And my friend Meg, who listened to your listener tales with me for six straight hours in the car 44:40 back from our friend's lake house. 44:42 Shout out to Meg. 44:43 Yeah, now you guys have been binging them for the last two weeks. 44:47 She's on listener tale 84. 44:48 Damn Meg. 44:49 Fucking Meg and mama. 44:51 This tale is really just a compilation of six really creepy occurrences at my old college 44:56 house. 44:56 They all involve a condom stained home. 44:59 Or it just was. 45:00 was maybe homeostasis for that house, I guess. 45:03 Perhaps. 45:04 Oh yeah, there you go. 45:06 So let's set the scene. 45:07 My girlfriends and I are going into our third year of college 45:10 and we decide we want to live in a house 45:12 instead of an apartment. 45:13 Good for you. 45:13 We found one for rent near downtown 45:15 closer to the bars than campus, 45:16 so clearly it was already perfect. 45:18 We walked through the house with the landlord 45:20 while the current renters were home, 45:21 a group of five guys that were on the football team 45:23 at our college. 45:24 The tour itself was uneventful. 45:26 Yeah, it was probably smelliest fuck in there. 45:28 I know it smelled in there. 45:31 The door itself was uneventful and we decided to sign a one year lease for the next school 45:36 year. 45:37 Unfortunately though, the house got creepy almost immediately following moving in. 45:42 Creepy instance number one, demon summoning cross. 45:45 In the house, my room was upstairs with one of the other girl's room and a bathroom. 45:50 As I took the first load of stuff up to my room, I noticed there was a cross hanging 45:53 on the wall. 45:54 Without any hesitation, I took it down because I'm not super religious. 45:57 Good for you. 45:58 I felt like throwing away a cross 46:00 was asking for some crazy bad juju though. 46:02 So I left it sitting on top of a random stove 46:04 that was in an open space before the bedroom doors. 46:08 Weird college choices that probably was a duplex 46:11 at some point. 46:13 Choices of you to leave a cross on a stove, mama. 46:15 That's what I mean, like bad juju to throw it away. 46:18 Worse juju to leave it on a flammable surface. 46:21 And it could potentially light on fire. 46:23 Yeah. 46:24 Well, a week or so later, I'd left for the weekend 46:27 and when I returned home, the cross was hanging upside down in my room. 46:32 Okay. If one of your roommates did that, they're fucking iconic. 46:36 Yeah, that's the best roommate ever. 46:38 I left it there and immediately asked all my roommates who did it, 46:41 but no one admitted to it. 46:42 Once again, I took it down and again left it on the oven. 46:46 Because even though I felt like it was going to summon demons, 46:49 throwing it away felt like it could make things worse. 46:52 Nothing more ever happened with the cross, 46:54 and you bet I left that bitch there for the next tenets. 46:56 Good for you. 46:57 They were probably like, why the fuck is this cross on a stove? 46:59 Yeah, on a stove. 47:01 Creepy instance number two. 47:02 Why are you staring at my house? 47:03 Why? 47:04 Maybe a week or two after moving in, I end up being the only one of my roommates staying 47:08 at the house for the weekend. 47:09 Oh, I don't like it. 47:11 I don't like it either. 47:12 So I convinced one of my girlfriends to stay with me. 47:14 Good job. 47:15 We were already hanging out at the house, but she had to go home, shower and grab 47:18 some things. 47:19 So we went back to her place and we're driving back to my house around, let's 47:22 say, dark o'clock because all he knows that it was late. 47:24 I like that. 47:25 We were chit-chatting in the car, and she went to turn into my driveway, which was just a cement pad 47:29 next to the house in an alleyway. She begins to turn into the alleyway, and she's looking more 47:34 at me than the road when something super casual catches my eye. There is a man in the middle 47:40 of the alleyway staring up at my house into the window where I had left the lights on. 47:46 No. Bad. No. That guy was hoping someone was in there. 47:50 One hundo pee is going to be able to look at you. That's called a peeping tom. 47:53 Yeah, I said her name without looking at her continuing to look at the man as her headlights illuminate said man 47:59 He takes off running through my neighbor's yard. Oh, what a nasty little pig bitch 48:04 We both panicked and drove away debating over 10 minutes if we were gonna go back in my house or not 48:08 In the end we did decide to go back to the house so I could grab my charger 48:12 She refused to get out of the car and left me to fend for myself 48:14 That's a bad friend. Yeah, and only unlocked it long enough for me to get out 48:18 Damn, I don't know why you would want to be sitting in your car though 48:20 I know like at least you can be in the house with you can find a weapon when you've already he's already seen you 48:25 So it's like yeah, and he knows you're right. Yeah 48:29 Little pig bitch. Yeah, well, I spent it in grabbed what I needed and we went and stayed at her house 48:33 We never figured anything out about the guy and didn't report it since he technically didn't do anything wrong 48:38 Oh, yeah, and be creepy as fuck. Oh, I hope you got curtains after that. I hate that creepy instance number three dark cloud man dark cloud man 48:46 It's giving like blue man group. I 48:49 I don't know. 48:50 Whoa. 48:50 My brain just works that well. 48:51 Okay. 48:52 One night. 48:53 Like they could be a troupe. 48:54 Dark cloud men. 48:55 Dark cloud men. 48:56 I like it. 48:57 All right. 48:57 I had to explain myself further. 48:59 Yeah. 49:00 One night as I was about to go to bed, 49:01 my boyfriend, now husband, 49:03 Aiden, was staying over. 49:05 I would like to clarify. 49:06 I was stone cold sober. 49:08 So I was in a clear state of mind. 49:09 I had just brushed my teeth 49:10 and came back into the bedroom, 49:12 turned off the light, 49:13 got into bed, 49:14 and then realized like an idiot, 49:15 I had to pee. 49:16 Oh God. 49:17 One idiot. 49:18 I do that so frequently. 49:20 I got out of bed and decided not to turn the light back on because the bathroom door was 49:24 less than four feet from my bedroom door. 49:26 I walked out of my room, into the bathroom, left the door open, left the light off, but 49:30 there were windows upstairs that did let a little light in. 49:33 In the bathroom, there was a mirror that faced toward the toilet. 49:36 As I did my thing, I looked forward and saw a whole-ass black shadow form walk 49:42 into the room and stand in front of the mirror like it was looking at me. 49:49 No. 49:52 You have to just flush yourself down the toilet. 49:54 I was just kidding. 49:54 What do you do? 49:55 You flush yourself down the toilet is the only option. 49:58 That's it. 49:59 Give yourself a swirly, babe. 50:00 That's it. 50:01 That's the ultimate swirly, a fatal swirly. 50:05 You might make it to the sewer system, I don't know. 50:07 Oh lord, give yourself a terminal swirly. 50:10 It was not a solid figure, just like a dark cloud in the shape of a damn man. 50:15 Ew. 50:16 I didn't know what to do, so I just closed my eyes, finished peeing. 50:19 I can't believe you continued to pee. 50:22 What else to do? 50:22 That would halt my pee. 50:23 You know what? 50:24 See, I'll just pee more probably. 50:26 Yeah, that's true. 50:28 One that I ran out of the bathroom back to my room, 50:30 woke my boyfriend up to go look in the bathroom 50:32 to ensure that the dark cloud man was, 50:34 man cloud was gone in the cloud. 50:36 He thought I was being dramatic. 50:38 Damn. 50:39 But went in and looked anyway 50:41 because he knew I wouldn't let him go back to bed 50:42 until he did. 50:43 We're high school sweethearts 50:44 so he knows me very well. 50:46 He went in and looked and he saw nothing 50:47 which I love, which logically I knew he still wouldn't be there, but I had to know for sure. 50:52 I never saw the dark cloud man again, but I can still see the shape of him like it was 50:56 yesterday every time I think about it. Oh, every time you pee. Every time. Now I'd be worried about 51:01 peeing. There's like a dark cloud man that's going to walk through. Yeah, I don't like that. 51:06 Gotta like put a toilet in your room. Like ever heard of knocking? Yeah, like forget a bathroom, 51:10 just put a toilet in some area of your room. And be like that and put a little sign that 51:15 So it's like, cloud man, can't be here. 51:17 Man cloud. 51:17 Yeah, yeah. 51:18 I don't like it. 51:19 Creepy instance four, nearly every time, 51:22 question mark, question mark, question mark, huh? 51:25 About half an hour, half an hour, 51:27 about halfway into our lease at the house, 51:29 Aiden dropped a bombshell on me. 51:31 He stayed with me probably three or four nights a week, 51:33 which is important to this part of the story, 51:35 because the bombshell he dropped 51:36 was that he had a reoccurring nightmare 51:39 almost nearly every single time he stayed at my house. 51:42 Before I get into the dream, what the hell was this man doing at my house three to four 51:47 nights a week if he had the same nightmare nearly every time? 51:50 He lurves you. 51:51 My ass would nope the fuck out of that house immediately. 51:54 Two, why the fuck was he now just telling me this after months of staying with me? 51:58 He lurves you. 51:59 Yeah, he does. 52:00 He didn't want to scare you. 52:01 Like, you kept that shit to yourself for this long? 52:03 Why the hell couldn't he wait until I moved out so I didn't have to worry about 52:06 the nightmares coming after me? 52:07 Because he lurves. 52:08 He lurves you. 52:09 Well, let's get to the dream. 52:10 The dream always started out normal, but would switch into him feeling like someone was watching 52:15 him. 52:16 Every time Aiden looked back, he would see the person, and they would move out of sight. 52:20 This would continue until Aiden decided to chase after him, but he could never quite catch 52:25 them. 52:25 He describes feeling more and more anxious as it would go on until he'd eventually wake 52:29 up. 52:30 I moved out of the house over four years ago, and he's never had the nightmare 52:33 again. 52:34 Ugh. 52:35 So what was it about that house? 52:37 Haunted. 52:38 Yeah. 52:38 Yeah, creepy, spooky, condom stained. 52:41 Condom stained. 52:42 When I decided to write in my tail, 52:43 I asked him to remind me about the nightmare 52:45 and he demonstrated by standing 52:47 with only one eye showing behind our closet door 52:51 and then moving out of sight. 52:52 Oh, fuck that. 52:54 Then they said, it was a nerving 52:56 and he's literally my husband, L-O-L-O. 52:58 I don't like that. 52:59 Yeah, that would, that would fuck me up. 53:00 No. 53:01 Also, I knew these football players were coming back. 53:03 I did too. 53:04 Creepy instance number five. 53:05 Fuck them football players. 53:07 Fuck them. 53:07 As I mentioned, the reason we picked the house was because it was close to the bars. 53:11 So naturally, one night, we went out to the bars and ran into one of the guys who lived 53:16 in the house the year before. 53:17 As soon as we began talking about the house, he said what I was already coming to know. 53:21 You know that house was haunted, right? 53:24 I remember being shocked and saying, what the fuck do you mean? 53:27 I knew exactly what he meant, but I hadn't said anything to him about things that 53:30 I had experienced. 53:31 He asked me who had the room upstairs and that was at the end of the hallway. 53:35 And as I'm sure you can guess, that was my damn room, of course it was. 53:39 He told me his friend who lived in that room was on his way to the bar and I needed to talk to him. 53:43 Oh, that's like a movie. 53:45 Yeah, it really is. 53:46 His friend got to the bar a little later and he told me about a few situations that led him to believe it was haunted. 53:51 He said his PS4 would randomly make its signature beep like it was turning off when he was nowhere near it or in bed about to go to sleep. 53:59 I immediately tried to dismiss it as the house and outlets being old. 54:02 But what he said next I couldn't come up with an explanation 54:05 He said if he had the LED strip lights on all around the room. I fucking hate those things 54:10 I know and thank you and while he was sitting in his room one day. They all fell off the wall at once honestly good 54:19 They're probably just like not sticky enough or it's just the house is being like these are dumb 54:23 Yeah, don't put these don't put these up in an old house. Why does your room have to be double right here?
