A Taxi Driver - Say Hello To My Little Film Ep. 318

It’s time for Ray’s crack on SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FILM and he’s on a slump of one, but he thinks he can get things back on track by recommending the 2017 historical drama, A TAXI DRIVER starring podcast favorite Song Kang-ho (PARASITE, JOINT SECURITY AREA)! The movie centers on Mr. Kim, a Seoul based taxi driver who lies his way into the employ of Jürgen Hinzpeter, a German journalist (played by the great Thomas Kretschmann) who has come to Korea to cover the Qwangju Uprising in 1980. When Mr. Kim doesn’t fully understand the danger he finds himself in, he must forge a team with Jürgen to not only cover the horrors the government is trying to hide, but to return home to his daughter who is desperately waiting for him. As mentioned, Rob is a big fan of Song Kang-ho and this recommendation could be a lay-up for him, but you’re going to have to tune in to find out if it is!
