ALERT: Auburn Football Offense Fails Again | Auburn Football Podcast
Auburn Football just let another winnable SEC game get away. The Tigers fell 24 to 14 against Tennessee in a game where Auburn’s defense did enough to give the offense an opportunity to win. Auburn actually outgained Tennessee 345 to 323, but those numbers do not tell the entire story. For a large portion of the game, Auburn’s offense struggled to generate anything consistently. That brings the conversation right back to the same problem: What exactly is Auburn’s offensive identity? The offensive line continues to be a major concern. Auburn struggled with protection, presnap penalties and creating consistent opportunities in the running game. Five games into the season, changes have already been made up front, but the results still are not good enough. Then there is Byrum Brown. Brown was responsible for much of Auburn’s offense against Tennessee, including 107 rushing yards, but the turnovers continue to be a problem. His first interception was simply a bad throw, and Auburn cannot afford those mistakes in games where the margin for error is already incredibly small. Learn more about your ad choices.
