Inside Her Father's Dangerous Deal with Manuel Noriega

In this Honor Among Thieves Podcast episode, Vivian shares the unbelievable true story of growing up as the daughter of Manuel Noriega’s gun runner during one of the most dangerous eras in Miami, Panama, and the 80s underworld. Vivian breaks down how her father first moved large amounts of marijuana before transitioning into the cocaine trade during Miami’s explosive drug era. As his world expanded, so did his connections — eventually leading him into business with Manuel Noriega, moving guns and operating at a level most people only hear about in documentaries and crime films. This episode goes deep into the rise of the Panama connection, the dangerous world surrounding Noriega, and what it was like for Vivian’s family to own valuable property in Panama while tensions with powerful figures escalated. She explains how her father built real wealth, lived a larger-than-life lifestyle, and operated in a world where the line between politics, organized crime, and survival was razor thin. Vivian also opens up about the personal side of that life — what her father was really like, how the family lived, how everything changed after his death and the impact his death had on her life at a young age. This is not just a crime story — it’s a firsthand look at legacy, family, power, and the long shadow of the cocaine era.
