Should you be reducing salt in your diet?
Salt is a common ingredient in many foods, and it’s essential for our health. Salt is made up of sodium and chloride, two minerals that help regulate fluid balance, blood pressure, nerve and muscle function. But how much salt do we need, and how much do we actually consume? What happens if we eat too much salt? Does that mean we should avoid salt altogether? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions!
