Matima Miller

On July 2, 2021, Quinton Dorsey was hosting a pop-up clothing sale outside his grandmother's home when a gunman approached and executed him in front of family members. Only three days later, on July 5, 2021, Matima Miller, who was friends with Quinton, was gunned down. Investigators thought there was a link, but they had to figure out what it was and who was behind the murders. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the murder of 19-year-old Matima "Swavy" Miller, a hugely popular TikTok creator whose dancing and positive personality earned him millions of followers. Although Matima avoided gang life, he became an innocent victim of a violent gang rivalry after befriending local entrepreneur Quinton Dorsey. The case highlights how social media fame, community violence, and gang retaliation collided in a tragic series of events.
