This soulful R&B artist first made waves in the music scene with his 2011 debut mixtape, Killer Instinct Vol. 1, and quickly gained momentum with the release of his 2015 single Don't, which catapulted to number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned quintuple platinum certification from the RIAA. The massive success of Don't led to a recording contract with RCA Records, who released it as the lead single for his debut studio album Trapsoul. The album itself made a lasting impression, entering the top ten of the Billboard 200 upon its release.
