About this book

Jonathan Edwards' book, A History of the Work of Redemption, was taken from a series of thirty sermons he preached to his congregation in Northampton, New England, in 1739 to establish them in the mighty truth that all God's works of providence are subservient to His overarching work of redemption. It was Edwards' friend, John Erskine, who turned Edwards' thirty sermons into a treatise which was published posthumously as Edwards' book. We are shown in this, Edwards' masterpiece to the laity, that nothing can thwart Christ's work of redemption which began at the fall and concludes at the Final Judgment, making it an exciting concept that we have the opportunity to partake in such a glorious and triumphant work.
