About
Born: January 1, 1987 in United Kingdom
This iconic synth-pop band burst onto the scene in the late 80s with a unique blend of new wave and electronic sounds, led by the distinctive vocals of Clive Farrington and Andrew Mann, alongside keyboardist Michael Floreale. Their 1988 single The Promise remains their most enduring hit, reaching the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. Although the original lineup disbanded in 1990, the When in Rome name has continued to be used by subsequent bands.
