From: United States
Formed in 1972 in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, this iconic heavy metal band rose to fame on Long Island, New York, with a unique blend of hard-hitting music and outrageous style. Their catchy anthems like We're Not Gonna Take It and I Wanna Rock became synonymous with the hair metal scene of the 1980s, while their music videos showcased a humorous side to the band's persona. With their flamboyant hairstyles and androgynous fashion sense, they left a lasting impact on the rock landscape.
