From: United States
Hailing from the vibrant city of Chicago, this influential alternative rock band emerged in 1988 with a unique sound that would evolve over the years to incorporate elements of gothic rock, heavy metal, and more. At the heart of this iconic group is primary songwriter and sole constant member Billy Corgan, who has led the band through numerous lineup changes since its reunion in 2006. With Corgan joined by longtime members James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin, the band's sound continues to captivate audiences with its dense, layered complexity.
