About
Born: March 18, 1964 in Ndola
Born in what was then Northern Rhodesia, this Zimbabwean electronic music sensation rose to fame in the early 1990s with a string of hit singles, including Faith, Are You Ready to Fly, and the iconic Everybody's Free. The latter has become a timeless classic, with numerous remixes and re-issues cementing its place in dance music history. Her enduring success has earned her a spot as the 98th-most-successful dance artist of all time, according to Billboard magazine's 2016 rankings.
