Hailing from the metal hotbed of Tampa, Florida, this influential death metal outfit emerged in 1984 with a raw energy that would shape the genre's sound for decades to come. With a career spanning over three decades, they've released a staggering eleven studio albums and continue to deliver crushing live performances with only a brief five-year hiatus from 1998 to 2003. As one of the most successful and enduring death metal bands of all time, their impact on the metal scene remains unparalleled.
