About

This American country music sensation was born in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2006, with a trio of talented musicians at its core: vocalist Hillary Scott, guitarist Charles Kelley, and multi-instrumentalist Dave Haywood. With roots in country music royalty - Scott being the daughter of Linda Davis and Kelley the brother of Josh Kelley - the group's sound quickly gained traction. A name change in 2020 from Lady Antebellum to Lady A aimed to distance the group from its antebellum past, but sparked a controversy with a blues singer who had been using the name Lady A for over two decades.
