Hailing from Charlottesville, Virginia, this iconic rock band has been a staple of the music scene since its formation in 1991. Founded by the inimitable singer-songwriter and guitarist, along with bassist Stefan Lessard, drummer Carter Beauford, violinist Boyd Tinsley, and saxophonist LeRoi Moore, the group's enduring legacy is a testament to their unique sound and talented musicianship. With Matthews, Lessard, and Beauford remaining as the only founding members still active today, their music continues to captivate audiences across generations.
