From: United Kingdom
Hailing from the UK's vibrant musical landscape, this iconic new wave and synth-pop duo rose to fame in the 1980s with a unique sound that seamlessly blended post-punk intensity with catchy commercial hooks. Formed in Kirkby, near Liverpool, in 1979, the core members Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon crafted a distinctive sound that resonated with British audiences, yielding ten top-50 singles and three chart-topping albums. Their critically acclaimed discography, including the gold-certified "Working with Fire and Steel" and "Flaunt the Imperfection", remains a testament to their enduring influence on the new wave era.
