About
Born: January 1, 1999 in Brazil Died: January 1, 2015
Hailing from the rich musical heritage of Andalusia, this timeless flamenco form has its roots among the Calé Romani people of Cádiz and Seville. Characterized by its haunting phrygian mode melodies, soleares is often performed with a solo guitar, adding an air of intimacy to this emotive style. As the "mother of palos," soleares serves as a foundational element in the complex tapestry of flamenco music.
