About
Born: January 1, 2001 in United States
In the early 2000s, a powerhouse collaboration brought together the talents of Soundgarden's iconic lead vocalist and guitarist, Chris Cornell, with three members of Rage Against the Machine, including Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk. This supergroup's unique sound was forged by blending the best of 1970s hard rock and 1990s alternative, with a dash of 1960s funk, soul, and R&B influences. With a focus on raw, guitar-driven instrumentation and Cornell's incredible vocal range, Audioslave created a distinct musical identity that captivated audiences worldwide.
