En: The song of the birds could be heard in the close air, with pure water flowing through the turf.
Cy: Cafodd clychau'r Pasg eu clywed yn y pellter.
En: The bells of Easter were heard in the distance.

En: Rhys had strong roots in the place of security where he had grown up.
Cy: Aeth Rhys yn dwfn i'r dyffryn yn chwilio am yr atebion.

Cy: "Mae'n beryglus.
En: "It's dangerous."
Cy: ""A beth sy'n gwneud mor berchen â'r chwedl?
En: "And what makes the legend so relevant?"
Cy: " atebodd Ioan, cyflawn y methiant i weld yr ofn.
En: responded Ioan, completely missing the fear.
Cy: Ond penderfynodd Rhys wrth benderfynol fod yn rhaid mynd ac edrych dros y mynydd tywodlyd.
En: But Rhys decided with determination that he had to go and look over the sandy mountain.
Cy: Carcharodd gymaint ei meddyliau, achos ei awydd i ganfod ei dad neu hyd yn oed glywed yr un truth am yr oleuni.
En: His thoughts were imprisoned by his desire to find his father or even hear the truth about the light.
