"Happy Hour": Adam Carolla Dust-Up, Refusing to Be a Media “Prop,” and Jashinsky’s Apocalypse Skills: Emily Answers YOUR Questions

On this week’s edition of “Happy Hour,” Emily Jashinsky shares the funny backstory behind Adam Carolla’s recent comments about her and explains why she doesn’t think he actually remembers who she is. She responds to a listener who sees similarities between Anthony Fauci’s handling of the AIDS crisis and COVID. Emily also spends some time discussing modern media, how legacy journalists get major stories wrong in part because they distrust people who dissent from the elite consensus, why she’s selective about the shows she appears on, and why she doesn’t want to be used as a “prop.” Emily reacts to a comment about the great burrito debate and discusses what she found while researching how young people are actually spending their money. She also addresses a number of faith-based questions involving Islam and Christianity, religious violence, and Christianity’s relationship with the Enlightenment and science. Emily reveals what skills she might bring to an apocalypse and makes the case for classical education. She rounds out the show by addressing a controversy involving her friend and frequent “After Party” guest Rachel Bovard, reacting to the “Breaking Points” subreddit, responding to reports about President Trump being moved from Air Force One over a potential threat, sharing some of her favorite sitcoms, assessing Michele Tafoya’s chances in Minnesota, and explaining why she thinks people should resist having personal conversations with AI, and more…
