This soulful singer-songwriter first made his mark performing gospel in his local church, eventually catching the attention of jazz legend Bobbi Humphrey in 1988. Signed to Warner Bros. Records, he went on to collaborate with the iconic Quincy Jones and release his debut album T.E.V.I.N., which earned platinum status and spawned the hit single Tell Me What You Want Me to Do.
